Vahdat Isfahan Industrial Farming and Animal Husbandry Cooperative titling the Animal Husbandry Center was founded with 18 members before the efflorescence of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The above said cooperative has been registered under No. 4347, and presently includes 120 industrial members, and about 40,000 heads of livestock producing more than 500 tons of milk per day and about 5000 tons of meat per year. The major activities of the cooperative are specified hereunder:
The main aim: Fast and optimum supply and distribution of livestock inputs with high quality, best price, and selling the animal husbandry products with better conditions .Supplying and distributing the livestock inputs as described below: 1- Supplying and distributing the consumer materials for animal husbandry units including forage and concentrate materials such as barley and bran. 2- Supplying and distribution of the required substances in reproduction including the sperm, fluid nitrogen, and insemination equipments. 3- Supplying and distributing the cattle husbandry equipments such as milking equipment. 4- Sale representative of the Iranian companies. 5- Accepting the sale agency and constant relation with some foreign companies. 6- Direct selling of the animal husbandry products as well as creating relation with the relevant companies on behalf of the both party members. 7- Store 8- Supplement production.
The main aim for this section is to promote the scientific and technical level of dairy farmers, experts, and veterinarian, and to execute the scientific and technical standards. The performed activities in this section are specified hereunder: 1- Publication of a monthly letter named "A SPEECH TO CATTLE MAN" 2- Publication of a book about dairy cow industry. 3- Organizing the educational & training classes and workshops. 4- Organizing the scientific & educational seminars. 5- Supplying & distributing the educational films. 6- Technical consultation through the members of technical groups, and under supervision of specialist groups. 7- Information supply through web site. 8- Organizing the foreign scientific & recreational tours. 9- Cooperation with scientific centers & universities in performance of researching projects and thesis. 10- Participation in holding domestic and international congresses and symposium. During the years passed and from the beginning of activity, the educational unit with cooperation f domestic and foreign masters has taken measure to organize different educational courses towards the promotion of scientific level of dairy farmers, up to the present time the following courses have been performed: - Management of animal husbandry units - Nutrition of dairy cows - Heifer raising and nutrition - Silo treatment and processing - Cattle breeding - Milking management - Type assessment - Management of artificial insemination - Hoof trimming Formation of the foregoing courses has been performed in such a manner so that they may remove the requirement of dairy farmer in different seasons. Meanwhile Vahdat Cooperative through publishing the monthly letter of "A SPEECH TO CATTLE MAN" has tried to transfer the latest science, concerning the dairy cow husbandry: The said publication has made a considerable help to the dairy farmers to approach to up-to-date standards of the world. In the same direction, Vahdat Cooperative has been translating and publishing the "Hoard's Dairyman" publication under the title of "DAIRY COW INDUSTRY ARTICLES" since the year 2004 which has been faced with ever increasing reception of dairy farmer, veterinarians and owners of cattle husbandry units. The main aim of the company's activity in the Recording Department is to collect the required data and information for strategic planning in the fields of nutrition management, breeding, and veterinary. The major activities of the company in this department are as follows. 1- Receiving the information at Vahdat cooperative through CD or telephone and investigation and sending them to the Livestock Breeding Center of the Country. 2- Providing the sketch of the animals through digital method and registering ID cards by computer. 3- Recording in all authorization units, and examining the milk samples to determine the percentage of fat, protein, lactose, solids , solid not fat, somatic cell count, and milk urea nitrogen. 4- Type assessment and sire selection 5- Returning the list of breeding value of milk, fat and grading form of the affiliated units to dairy farmers.
